LEANNE MCCAFFERTY
Testimonials
"I am a passionate educator and entrepreneur from Uganda. I previously worked as a teacher, and through my time working at the school where Leanne was coaching, I was exposed to a different way of thinking about leadership, initiative, and possibility.
At that point, I felt uncertain about my longer-term direction and what I could build beyond my role as a teacher.
Through the coaching and development work I experienced, I began to rethink what was possible for me. Leanne helped me see that I could start with what I already had, rather than waiting for perfect conditions or more resources.
That shift in thinking changed how I approached my future. I eventually made the decision to return to my home district and begin developing East Star’s Academy in Serere District from the ground up.
It has been a journey of challenge, learning, and growth, but I am now building something meaningful for my community and family. I am continuing to develop both practical skills and leadership capacity as the school grows.
I am deeply grateful for the encouragement and perspective that supported me in taking this step forward."

"Leanne creates highly engaging and thought-provoking learning experiences that help you see how you think and interpret situations in a completely new way. The session was both enjoyable and insightful, and I left with a greater awareness of my own thinking patterns and how they influence my perception."

"I am so grateful for the support my 11-year-old son received in the lead-up to his world karate competition in October 2025. He was struggling with confidence, and Leanne helped him develop focus and a more positive mindset using simple, practical techniques he could actually use.
He went into the competition feeling calm and more self-assured - and went on to achieve a bronze medal.
What has stayed with us most is how easy the tools were for him to understand and apply. He now uses them at every competition, and we’ve seen a real and lasting shift in his confidence, not just in sport but in everyday life.
This support has given him something we know will stay with him well beyond karate."

"A Coach Who Delivers Lasting Impact.
It is my honour to share this testimonial about Leanne McCafferty's transformative work at Wisdom Junior School, Bbembe, Uganda.
From July to September 2025, Leanne travelled to Uganda and spent six weeks with our school - a place dedicated to serving underprivileged children. We came to call this period "The Six Weeks of Smiles", a name that captures the joy, confidence, and positive change she inspired in our learners and staff alike.
Leanne brought a rare combination of professionalism, compassion, and practical skill. She actively participated in classroom teaching, games, and sports, and generously donated learning materials - including sports equipment that continues to benefit our children to this day.
Her talents as a coach and trainer shone clearly through her work with both teachers and students. Her training sessions in communication skills and interpersonal relationships were engaging, hands-on, and deeply practical, equipping participants with tools they continue to draw on in school and in daily life.
Beyond the classroom, Leanne forged genuine connections within our Ugandan community. She engaged with parents and visited families throughout Bbembe, strengthening the trust and collaboration between school and community that form the foundation of any lasting impact.
She also made a meaningful contribution to vocational and life skills development by financing and supporting school clubs in gardening, carpentry, art and design, crafts, and hairdressing - empowering learners with practical skills and a stronger sense of purpose beyond academics.
Through structured leadership sessions, Leanne mentored our student leaders, helping our prefects grow in confidence, responsibility, and teamwork.
What set Leanne apart was not only the depth of her impact, but its sustainability. The skills, systems, and motivation she cultivated continue to shape our school community in Uganda long after her departure.
We wholeheartedly recommend Leanne to any organisation, school, or development partner seeking a dedicated, results-driven coach and trainer who delivers change that lasts."

"Working with Leanne was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. I came to her during a very difficult period, feeling stuck and weighed down by my circumstances. From the very first session, her calm presence made me feel at ease, like I could finally breathe and begin to make sense of what I was going through.
She listened deeply and gently helped me recognise beliefs and patterns I had never thought to question. Through her NLP work, I began to shift the way I saw myself and my life.
I felt supported throughout the process, and left each session with a greater sense of clarity, self-understanding, and possibility. I would highly recommend Leanne to anyone ready to do the inner work and move forward."

"I came to her during a very difficult moment, feeling lost and unable to think clearly. From the start of our coaching conversation, I was struck by her calm and grounded presence, even over the phone.
She began by helping me settle through simple breathing, then listened deeply and reflected back my thoughts with precision. Through careful questions and gentle challenge, she helped me regain clarity and perspective.
What stood out most was her ability to balance calm presence with practical guidance. She invited me into reflection, encouraged action, and supported me without judgement, all in a very natural and personal way.
By the end of the session, I had moved from confusion to a clear and focused action plan - and the motivation to do something different straight away.
Thank you, Leanne, for being there in exactly the way I needed in that moment."

"I am very glad I took the opportunity to complete this programme. It opened up my thinking in a new way and brought a strong sense of curiosity about what might be possible - what would happen if I could, and what would happen if I did.
I particularly valued the Beliefs of Excellence framework as a clear and practical guide throughout the process.
Leanne delivered the programme in a way that was engaging, friendly, and interactive, making the learning easy to apply. I am taking away several insights that I can continue to use going forward.
I am really glad I signed up."

"I hadn’t thought of the planning, organising, and sourcing of unusual venues as skills before - that’s just what I do. Through working with Leanne, I began to see my role and abilities in a completely new way, and recognise the real value I bring.
This experience was unforgettable. For the first time, I consciously saw myself and my work clearly, and understood my own worth.
When Leanne named my leadership abilities, something shifted in me. I realised I am far more capable than I had given myself credit for, and I now carry a stronger sense of my own value into both my work and my wider life."
